Championship teams may choose to skip White House visits

It's no surprise that the victory by President-elect Donald Trump this past Tuesday created shockwaves throughout the United States. Many protests have broken out in almost every major city.

Many Americans want nothing to do with a Donald Trump presidency. His sexist and racially driven rhetoric during his campaign caused a huge uproar that offended many people. Including many athletes around the country.

It's being reported that many Championship winning teams may refuse to visit the White House following their title win.

We could definitely see athletes decline to visit the White House going forward. Maybe just a few athletes, or full teams declining all together. This could will be unprecedented.

The next team up for a White House visit is the MLB World Champion, Chicago Cubs. After a 108 year title drought, will the Cubs decline to visit the Commander in Chief?
